Symmetrical TV Unit with Natural Stone/3D Relief Porcelain, Dark Oak Panels and Concealed Lighting
This media wall combines the sculptural texture of rough stone with contemporary timber craftsmanship and architectural lighting. A TV mounted on vertically jointed dark oak panelling forms the centrepiece. Floor-to-ceiling rough-rock/travertine-effect 3D relief stone or textured porcelain panels flank it, while monolithic tall timber cabinets define the outer edges. Concealed warm linear LEDs at 2700K–3000K run vertically along both sides of the textured stone. A cantilevered, stepped console completes a strong, calm, organic and monumental luxury focal point.
Material and Colour Balance
Rough-hewn natural stone or 3D relief porcelain panels extend from floor to ceiling in vertical bands on both sides of the TV, evoking raw rock surfaces.
Rich matt dark oak/smoked walnut veneer was selected for the central backdrop, side tall cabinets and floating console.
Vertical shadow joints give the central timber panels a contemporary rhythm.
Concealed warm linear LEDs at 2700K–3000K illuminate both stone-panel edges and follow the console’s upper and lower stepped lines.
Sculptural circular bronze/brass wall lights on the left timber column and a bronze mushroom-shaped table lamp reinforce the organic warmth.
Herringbone oak parquet, a textured beige rug and a timber coffee table with a grey-veined marble/porcelain top complete the monolithic luxury palette.
Architectural Composition and Spatial Hierarchy
Axial symmetry: the central TV, matching side stone panels and outer timber columns create a balanced, monumental architectural elevation.
Textural contrast: smooth, linear timber surfaces combine with rough, organic, sculptural stone/porcelain to create a richly tactile wall.
A stepped floating console: projecting the central console forward and downward while keeping it clear of the floor lightens the substantial composition and increases depth.
Technical and Functional Details
Heavy-load structural support: the 3D stone-textured panels and floating console are secured with concealed fixings to steel framing anchored into the wall.
Cable and equipment routes: TV and soundbar connections pass through a technical channel behind the vertical timber panels into concealed console drawers, remaining out of sight.
Handleless surface continuity: push-to-open fittings and soft-close hinges on the tall cabinets and console preserve the continuity of the timber grain.
