TV Unit with Matt Taupe Lacquer Volumes, an Emperador Marble Backdrop, Acoustic Slats and a Bioethanol Fireplace
This media wall combines warm earth tones with monolithic architectural forms. Silky matt taupe/mocha lacquer panels frame the TV and bookcase niches, set against richly brecciated Emperador marble. A vertical marble chimney volume and bioethanol fireplace occupy the right-hand side, while vertical acoustic slats line the recess beneath the floating console. Concealed warm LEDs at 2700K–3000K wash the slats and illuminate the shelves. Together with the fireplace’s linear flames, they create a sculptural, tranquil and exceptionally warm luxury atmosphere.
Material and Colour Balance
Polished smoky-brown Emperador marble, or porcelain slabs, with pronounced white/cream veining was used behind the TV, within niches and on the right-hand fireplace volume.
Fingerprint-resistant, silky matt taupe/warm-grey mocha lacquer surfaces surround the wall, frame the TV and form the floating console fronts.
Slim vertical acoustic slats create a rhythm of light and shadow between the floating console and floor-level base.
A continuous monolithic Emperador marble plinth/skirting creates the impression of a stone step at floor level.
A linear bioethanol/water-vapour flame-effect fireplace with a black steel insert is integrated into the right-hand marble recess.
Matching three-tier open display/bookcase niches with black metal frames stand in front of the marble on either side of the screen.
Concealed warm linear LEDs at 2700K–3000K run continuously beneath the console and along the ceiling of each bookcase shelf.
Herringbone oak parquet, a textured taupe rug and a low coffee table in matching marble with brass details complete the tone-on-tone setting.
Architectural Composition and Spatial Hierarchy
A framed floating volume: the projecting matt taupe body brings the TV and bookcases together within one broad rectangular recess, creating an ordered, sculptural architectural frame.
Vertical-horizontal contrast: the wide horizontal TV niche and floor-to-ceiling marble chimney on the right establish balanced asymmetry.
A recessed base and visual lightness: the illuminated slat band beneath the console makes the substantial lacquer cabinetry appear suspended above the floor.
Technical and Functional Details
Concealed service and cable channel: TV mounting, audio and fireplace connections pass through a technical void behind the marble into the lower console modules.
Insulated fireplace recess: Class A1 non-combustible stone wool and calcium-silicate boards line the marble fireplace volume to protect the upper lacquer units from heat transfer.
Push-to-open hardware: handleless push-to-open fittings and soft-close runners maintain the simplicity of the wide lower drawers and doors.
