TV Unit with Matt Anthracite Lacquer Panels, a Smoky Marble Backdrop, Acoustic Slats and a Bioethanol Fireplace
This media wall combines monolithic contemporary volumes with contrasting luxury materials. Suspended matt anthracite lacquer panels occupy the centre and side wings, layered over veined smoky/bronze marble and dark vertical acoustic slats. A bronze-toned open bookcase niche sits on the left, while a long console incorporating a fireplace runs at floor level. Concealed warm linear LEDs at 2700K–3000K beneath the upper panels and within the shelves combine with the fireplace’s linear flames to create a sophisticated, layered and dramatic luxury atmosphere.
Material and Colour Balance
Polished smoky/bronze natural marble or porcelain, enriched by vertical veining, clads the TV backdrop and lower recessed band.
Matt dark anthracite acoustic slats frame the wall’s sides and top, adding depth and vertical rhythm.
Fingerprint-resistant, silky matt anthracite/graphite lacquer was selected for the floating upper volume and floor-level base.
A three-part open display/bookcase niche with a bronze/warm taupe interior integrates with the upper-left panel.
A linear bioethanol/water-vapour flame-effect fireplace with a black stainless-steel insert sits where the long console meets the marble backdrop.
Concealed warm linear LED profiles at 2700K–3000K run continuously beneath the upper unit to wash the slats and illuminate the bookcase compartments.
Large polished grey-beige floor tiles, a monolithic coffee table combining textured anthracite and bronze marble, and sculptural anthracite accessories complete the contemporary monochromatic palette.
Architectural Composition and Spatial Hierarchy
Layered floating volume: projecting and suspending the upper anthracite panels frames the marble and slatted backdrop, creating a deep architectural reveal.
Horizontal flow and distinct focal points: the continuous floor-level console visually widens the room, while the TV and fireplace establish a balanced sequence of focal points.
Contrasting textures: smooth matt lacquer, shadows from vertical slats and reflective marble veining create a monochromatic yet richly varied material palette.
Technical and Functional Details
Heavy-load suspension frame: the broad floating anthracite panel and cabinet block are secured with concealed bolts to reinforced steel box-section framing anchored into the wall.
Concealed services and ventilation: TV, audio and fireplace connections pass through the void behind the marble into the console; concealed air-circulation channels serve the fireplace.
Handleless push-to-open drawers: full-extension push-to-open hardware with soft-close mechanisms on the lower console and upper cabinets preserves the minimalist continuity.
