TV Unit with Natural Walnut Vertical Profiles, an Acoustic Slat Backdrop, Matt Cream Console and Open Bookshelves
This media unit combines the warmth of natural timber with rhythmic vertical profiles and refined lacquer contrast. Solid timber profiles divide broad walnut-veneered panels behind the TV. Closely spaced acoustic slats form an upper band, while a six-tier integrated open bookcase rises to the ceiling on the right. A contrasting matt cream/taupe floating console runs beneath the composition. Concealed linear LEDs at 2700K–3000K illuminate the upper slat band, bookshelves and console underside, creating a balanced, warm, rhythmic and distinguished modern luxury atmosphere.
Material and Colour Balance
Richly grained natural walnut/dark oak veneer was used for the TV backdrop, right-hand column and bookcase carcass.
Natural timber profiles divide the central wall panels and reinforce the vertical rhythm.
A closely spaced vertical acoustic timber grille near the ceiling adds depth and texture.
A silky matt cream/off-white lacquer floating console balances the concentration of timber beneath the TV.
Six illuminated open timber bookcase/display niches are recessed within the tall right-hand unit.
Concealed warm linear LEDs at 2700K–3000K illuminate the upper slat junction, open shelf niches and console base.
Herringbone oak parquet, a textured light beige rug and a dark marble-topped coffee table with a brass base complete the warm balance.
Architectural Composition and Spatial Hierarchy
Horizontal and vertical rhythm: closely spaced slats above and more widely spaced vertical profiles below establish a strong yet refined vertical continuity, balanced by the console’s horizontal volume.
Open and closed volumes: calm timber panelling across the left and centre is balanced asymmetrically by the illuminated vertical bookcase on the right.
Lacquer and timber contrast: the matt cream console creates a light, open transition between the floor and timber wall.
Technical and Functional Details
Concealed structural support: wall panels and the lower lacquer console are suspended above the floor using concealed framing and locking brackets fixed to the rear wall.
Integrated service channel: TV and sound-system cables pass through the technical void behind the vertically profiled timber backdrop into the console, keeping wiring entirely hidden.
Handleless hardware: push-to-open fittings and soft-close runners on the matt cream console drawers and side-cabinet junctions maintain the continuity of the surfaces.
