TV Unit with Neoclassical Wall Mouldings, Beige Lacquer Panels, a Vertically Illuminated Bookcase Niche and Natural Timber Console
This TV unit combines classical architectural refinement with contemporary proportions and a monochromatic palette. Neoclassical lacquer wall panels with layered moulding borders form the TV backdrop. A narrow, vertically illuminated display niche/open bookcase is recessed into a floor-to-ceiling volume on the right, while upper cornices and a continuous floating light-oak/walnut console complete the composition. Warm beige/taupe tones, concealed LEDs at 2700K–3000K along both sides of the niche and natural timber textures give the living room a refined, tranquil, sculptural and timeless modern-classic character.
Material and Colour Balance
Silky matt, warm taupe/beige lacquer timber panels were used behind the TV, along the side borders and on the ceiling cornice.
Two-step neoclassical moulding profiles add depth to the main panel and side wings.
A six-tier open bookcase and accessory-display niche is recessed into the right-hand vertical architectural volume.
Concealed warm linear LEDs at 2700K–3000K run along both inner vertical edges of the niche.
A continuous floating console in naturally grained light oak/walnut veneer extends along the wall.
Herringbone oak parquet, a textured beige rug and a solid-timber coffee table with a grey marble top complete the calm monochromatic setting.
Architectural Composition and Spatial Hierarchy
Monochromatic, tone-on-tone balance: wall panels, lacquer mouldings and architectural volumes share one calm beige palette, creating a continuous, airy interior envelope.
A vertical light reveal: the narrow niche within the substantial right-hand volume introduces a refined focal point and visual lightness through soft LED illumination.
A classical crown and contemporary base: the ceiling cornice and modern floating timber console establish a refined balance between traditional and contemporary design.
Technical and Functional Details
Concealed structural support: lacquer panels and the wide timber console are cantilevered from hidden framing and locking suspension hardware fixed to the rear wall.
Integrated service channel: TV and lighting cables pass through the technical void behind the moulded backdrop into the console, remaining entirely concealed.
Handleless mechanisms: push-to-open fittings and soft-close drawer runners preserve the continuity of the timber console surfaces.
