TV Unit with a Calacatta Green Marble/Porcelain Fireplace Wall, Taupe Lacquer Panels and Open Bookshelves
This media wall combines dramatic natural marble veining with the warmth of a fireplace and calm lacquer surfaces. Vertically jointed matt taupe/mocha panels form the TV backdrop. A green-veined Calacatta Green marble or large-format porcelain chimney breast rises to the ceiling on the right, above an integrated linear bioethanol/electric fireplace. A monolithic marble-clad base console and an open walnut bookcase at the far right complete the composition. Vertical metal profiles on the chimney breast, the fireplace flames and concealed warm shelf LEDs at 2700K–3000K give the living room a sculptural, luxurious, warm and contemporary architectural identity.
Material and Colour Balance
Calacatta Green/Calacatta Viola marble or large-format porcelain with pronounced green/anthracite veining on a white ground was used on the chimney breast, base-console fronts and coffee-table top.
Vertically jointed matt taupe/mocha lacquer wall panels provide a calm, warm contrast behind the TV.
A richly textured dark walnut/smoked-oak open bookcase rises to the ceiling beside the chimney breast.
Vertical anthracite metal profiles give the marble chimney surface rhythm and depth.
A black steel-framed linear bioethanol or water-vapour electric fireplace is integrated into the fireplace block.
Concealed warm linear LEDs at 2700K–3000K run in vertical channels behind the open bookshelves.
Herringbone oak parquet, a textured beige rug and a solid-walnut coffee table with a marble top complete the refined luxury palette.
Architectural Composition and Spatial Hierarchy
Dynamic asymmetry: the calm lacquer TV backdrop on the left contrasts with the sculptural chimney breast and vertical bookcase on the right, establishing a strong asymmetrical composition.
A monolithic marble base: the console shares the fireplace block’s marble texture and reads as a substantial floor-standing plinth, reinforcing the monumental character.
Fire and stone: flames recessed into the marble volume create a visual and emotional balance with the cool stone, giving the space the atmosphere of a luxurious fireside room.
Technical and Functional Details
Thermal insulation and steel support: large marble/porcelain chimney slabs are secured with concealed mechanical anchors to fire-resistant calcium-silicate panels and structural steel framing.
Concealed services and ventilation: fireplace air-circulation channels are hidden within the chimney breast, while TV and media cables pass behind the lacquer panels into the marble console.
Marble-clad drawer mechanisms: heavy-duty, handleless push-to-open and soft-close runners support the marble/porcelain-fronted base drawers.
