TV Unit with a Silver Travertine/Grey Porcelain Backdrop, Fluted-Glass Display Cabinet, Open Niches and Floating Timber Console
This media unit combines the flowing texture of natural stone with contemporary display details and warm timber craftsmanship. Horizontally veined Silver Travertine or large-format grey porcelain forms the TV backdrop. A bronze aluminium-framed fluted-glass cabinet sits on the left, anthracite display niches are recessed on either side of the screen, and a continuous natural walnut floating console runs below. Concealed warm linear LEDs at 2700K–3000K illuminate the curved stone edges, glass shelves and console base, creating a prestigious, layered and refined modern luxury atmosphere.
Material and Colour Balance
Horizontally veined, matt-finished Silver Travertine or large-format grey/beige porcelain cladding was used behind the TV and on the right-hand vertical column.
The wall-mounted luxury display cabinet on the left combines a curved lacquer carcass, slim anthracite/bronze metal frame and fluted-glass doors.
Geometric matt anthracite lacquer niches for accessories and books are recessed into the stone on both sides of the screen.
A continuous floating console in richly grained natural walnut/dark oak veneer adds warmth.
Matt taupe/greige lacquer panels form a calm rear wall, with a black mirror/glass reveal in the right-hand niche.
Concealed warm linear LEDs at 2700K–3000K illuminate the rounded stone edges, display shelves, TV niche and console underside.
Polished travertine/marble flooring, a textured beige rug and a timber coffee table with a travertine top complete the monochromatic luxury palette.
Architectural Composition and Spatial Hierarchy
Translucent and solid volumes: the light, translucent fluted-glass cabinet contrasts with the central monolithic travertine, balancing the composition.
An inset screen and niches: the TV and open shelving are recessed into the stone volume, creating a sculptural, continuous niche composition.
Curved edges: softened, radiused finishes on the travertine and display-cabinet side panel combine with concealed backlighting to create a three-dimensional floating effect.
Technical and Functional Details
Concealed load-bearing steel frame: large travertine/porcelain slabs and the glass display cabinet are mechanically clipped to reinforced steel framing anchored into the wall.
Integrated cable and service provision: TV, soundbar and niche-lighting cables pass through vertical channels behind the stone into the rear console void, keeping all services concealed.
Handleless push-to-open fittings: push-to-open hardware and soft-close hinges on the console and glazed cabinet preserve the simplicity of the surfaces.
