TV Unit with a Natural Oak/Acoustic Slat Backdrop, Fireplace, Neoclassical Mouldings and Floating Console
This media wall combines contemporary lines with neoclassical architectural detailing and the warmth of a fireplace. A central natural oak/walnut TV backdrop is framed by closely spaced vertical timber slats. A linear bioethanol/water-vapour fireplace is integrated into the lower surface, while symmetrical anthracite-taupe neoclassical wall mouldings flank the centre. A continuous floating timber console runs beneath the composition. Concealed warm linear LEDs at 2700K–3000K illuminate both vertical edges of the timber panel and the console base, giving the living room a balanced, sophisticated, calm and luxurious atmosphere.
Material and Colour Balance
Richly grained natural oak/walnut veneer panels form the central TV backdrop and adjoining acoustic slat sections.
Closely spaced vertical timber slats on both sides of the main panel add depth.
Matt anthracite/warm grey neoclassical moulding borders give the side walls a classical refinement.
A continuous floating console in natural timber veneer extends along the wall.
A black linear bioethanol or water-vapour electric fireplace is recessed flush into the console top.
Concealed warm linear LEDs at 2700K–3000K run behind both vertical panel edges and beneath the console.
Straight-laid engineered wood flooring, a textured beige rug and a bronze coffee table with a marble top complete the warm palette.
Architectural Composition and Spatial Hierarchy
Axial symmetry: the central timber TV-and-fireplace volume is balanced by matching neoclassical side panels, creating a monumental focal point.
Contemporary and neoclassical fusion: classical moulding proportions combine with plain timber surfaces and vertical acoustic slats to create an eclectic, contemporary luxury character.
A floating effect: concealed lighting beneath the console and its wall-mounted construction reduce the apparent weight of the substantial timber volume.
Technical and Functional Details
Concealed load-bearing steel framing: timber wall panels and the wide floating console are secured to reinforced steel framing anchored into the wall and locking suspension systems.
Fire-resistant fireplace recess and service channel: the fireplace sits within a thermally insulated calcium-silicate protective enclosure. TV and electrical services run through a channel behind the timber into the console.
Handleless push-to-open fittings: push-to-open hardware and soft-close mechanisms on the console doors and drawers preserve the simplicity of the surfaces.
