TV Unit with a Neoclassical Moulded Backdrop, Twin Open Bookcase Towers and a Floating Natural Timber Console
This TV unit combines the calm elegance of classical proportions with symmetrical timber volumes and warm linear lighting. Warm beige/taupe neoclassical wall panels with layered moulding borders form the backdrop, while natural walnut open bookcase towers extend to the ceiling on either side of the screen. A continuous floating timber console runs along the lower level. Warm linear LEDs at 2700K–3000K, concealed along the towers’ inner vertical edges and beneath the console, are complemented by bronze wall lights on the outer panels. Together, they give the room a balanced, refined, sculptural and warm modern-classic character.
Material and Colour Balance
Warm beige/taupe matt lacquer neoclassical wall mouldings behind the TV and on the outer wings add classical depth.
Matching open bookcase towers in richly grained natural walnut veneer rise symmetrically on either side of the screen.
Concealed warm linear LEDs at 2700K–3000K run in vertical channels along the towers’ inner bevelled edges and beneath the console.
A floating natural walnut-veneered console extends along the wall, linking the bookcase towers at their base.
Brushed bronze/antique brass vertical linear wall lights, centred on the outer moulded panels, add another lighting layer.
Large-format light grey floor tiles, a textured beige rug and a solid-walnut coffee table with a marble base complete the balance of warm and cool materials.
Architectural Composition and Spatial Hierarchy
Symmetry and axial balance: matching bookcase towers and outer moulded panels create a monumental, carefully ordered composition centred on the TV.
A framing effect: warm timber towers and neoclassical mouldings transform the screen from a purely technical device into the focal point of an artistic composition.
Lightened solid volumes: lighting beneath the console visually lifts the floor-to-ceiling timber composition away from the floor, reducing its apparent weight and creating a contemporary floating effect.
Technical and Functional Details
Concealed load-bearing steel frame: bookcase towers and the wide floating console are cantilevered from concealed steel framing and mechanical anchors in the rear wall.
Integrated service channel: TV, soundbar and wall-light wiring passes through the void behind the lacquer-moulded panels into the console, keeping cables entirely concealed.
Handleless mechanisms: push-to-open fittings and soft-close drawer runners maintain the simplicity of the timber console fronts.
