TV Unit with a Curved Travertine-Textured Backdrop, Bioethanol Fireplace and Integrated Timber Bookcase
This luxury media wall combines flowing organic forms with clean contemporary lines. A beige microcement/travertine-textured TV panel curves gracefully away from the wall along its left edge. A monolithic fireplace base extends at floor level, with rhythmic walnut slats behind and a full-height walnut cabinet tower combining enclosed and open storage on the left. Concealed warm linear LEDs at 2700K–3000K along the curved panel’s upper, lower and side edges combine with the fireplace’s flame effect to create a warm, sculptural and peaceful sense of depth.
Material and Colour Balance
A custom-moulded beige travertine/microcement-textured backdrop appears suspended behind the TV, its left edge sweeping backwards in a soft curve.
A matching stone-textured monolithic floor-level base incorporates a glass-guarded linear bioethanol/water-vapour fireplace on the right.
Naturally grained American walnut veneer panels add depth behind the backdrop, while dark walnut acoustic slats create vertical rhythm in the upper and lower left reveals.
A full-height cabinet with classical profiled doors on the left incorporates a narrow illuminated open bookcase niche in slim anthracite metal framing.
Concealed warm linear LEDs at 2700K–3000K run along the panel’s upper, lower and right rear edges and across the ceiling of each bookcase shelf.
Herringbone natural oak parquet, a textured light beige rug and a square travertine-textured coffee table complete the organic contemporary living room.
Architectural Composition and Spatial Hierarchy
A flowing curve and layered shell: rather than a flat wall, the curved shell wraps around the timber texture behind it, giving the TV wall the character of an architectural sculpture.
Fire and media integration: the TV and fireplace are balanced asymmetrically along one horizontal base, establishing functional and visual hierarchy.
Open and enclosed storage: the built-in timber volume on the left conceals storage while a narrow vertical niche provides decorative display space.
Technical and Functional Details
Fire- and heat-resistant construction: the fireplace base and curved frame are built on a composite structure with Class A1 heat-resistant insulation and a stone-textured finish.
Concealed services and cabling: the TV bracket, power and signal cables pass through the service void behind the curved shell into the base and the technical route behind the fireplace.
Ventilation and protective glazing: extra-clear tempered glass around the flame and concealed ventilation openings within the base support safe combustion.
